As children many of us have probably dreamed about owning a vehicle from one of our favorite films. Now thanks to the arrest of a criminal who owned some of the most popular cars in movie history. We all have a chance.
Ryan Sheridan, who bilked millions of dollars through Medicare fraud collected some very popular vehicles including the Batmobile, the Delorean from Back To The Future and ECTO, a 1959 Cadillac ambulance made famous by the Ghostbusters.
In January, Sheridan was sentenced to more than 7 years in prison for fraud and conspiracy and was ordered to pay $24,479,939 in restitution.
“These three flashy cars are an example of the ill-gotten gains obtained with the tens of millions of dollars that Ryan Sheridan stole from Medicaid, and therefore American taxpayers, “ The U.S. Marshals routinely sell vehicles, real estate and other assets in order to return proceeds to victims of federal crimes.”
All three vehicles will be put up for auction on August 1st by Skipco Auto Auction in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Interested buyers may also bid online.
Cars once owned by Ryan Sheridan – a 1981 DeLorean, a replica from “Back to the Future”; a 1959 Cadillac Hearse, a reproduction of classic in “the Ghostbusters”; and a 1995 Chevy Caprice, a replica of a Batmobile – will go up for bid Aug. 1. https://t.co/bjWPJRFdIu
