Jordan’s Furniture is bringing back a popular promotion again this baseball season.
If a Red Sox pitcher throws a no-hitter between August 3rd and October 3rd, customers who purchased anything between April 14th and May 16th will receive the items for free.
Although no-hitters are extremely rare, with the last Red Sox no-hitter coming in 2008 when Jon Lester threw a gem, they are not impossible. San Diego Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove just threw one on Friday night, although it was the franchises first since coming into the league in 1969.
Stranger things have happened though. Jordan’s gave away over $30 million of free furniture to 25,000 families in 2007 through a promotion when the team won the World Series.
“We are always rooting for the Red Sox! If they pitch a No Hitter this year, we’ll give away millions of dollars’ worth of furniture and mattresses again. They’ve done before. They can do it again!” said Eliot Tatelman, president of Jordan’s Furniture.
Warren Buffet had to pay $60 million after insuring a Jordan's Furniture promotion that all furniture sold between March and April would be refunded if the Red Sox won the World Series in 2007! pic.twitter.com/xwZbSINoj4
