Jelly Belly Founder Is Giving Away The Keys To A Candy Factory In A Willy Wonka Style Treasure Hunt

The founder of Jelly Belly is holding a real life Willy Wonka style contest to give away one of his candy factories with golden tickets and all. David Klein announced the contest in a video message online, saying the big winner will walk away with the key to their very own candy factory. Thousands of dollars in prizes are also up for grabs.

Klein says gold tickets are being hidden in secret locations throughout the U.S.

“You will be looking for a Gold Ticket in the form of a necklace with a tag that includes a code you need to use to verify your find. Winners will receive $5,000,” according to contest rules.

But, only one person will win the grand prize.

To participate in the contest you will need to pay $50 to receive the riddle, game location and start date.

“The registered person who purchased the game play will be signed up in a private forum. You must have a Facebook account,” the website states. “We have been hit with a huge response and we are making every attempt to handle your orders. We will respond to everyone, but it might take a bit of time.”

As of Tuesday morning, there were almost 30,000 members in the treasure hunt’s Facebook group.

Their is also a max of 1,000 participants in each state.

Only those who participated in the treasure hunt for the golden tickets will be able to participate in the The Ultimate Treasure Hunt for one of the candy factories.

“You get a Candy Factory,” he said.
