A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death at the Providence Place Mall Thursday morning shortly after 11:30 AM, after a couple groups broke out into a fight, according to Providence police.
Providence Police said it began with a fight in the food court.
The identity of the victim has been yet to be released.
One witness Dan Valdez, a manager at one of the establishments inside the food court said he witnessed the fight.
βI heard this commotion, looked over my counter and there was a fight that broke out,β Valdez said. βIt was five guys that looked like they were jumping two guys. So I called security, and nothing really happened at that moment, but then it moved down a ways past our sight line, and then all you could hear was screaming.β
Four suspects are currently in custody, and the murder weapon has been recovered.
