After a 44 year run, The Fours, a popular sports bar for fans looking for a few drinks, and a bite to eat before or after Celtics and Bruins games is permanently closing its Boston location, the sports bar announced Monday.
“It has been our honor to call the City of Champions our home,” management said. “We have the best fans. Period. Thank you for making The Fours part of your traditions over the years.”
The menu featured a “Hall of Famers” section dedicated to some of Boston’s biggest legends including “Bobby Orr,” charbroiled steak tips and melted cheese on a braided roll, and the “Larry Bird,” a grilled chicken pesto panini.
The Boston location was voted the best sports bar in the United States by Sports Illustrated in 2005.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the permanent closure of The Fours Boston as of Monday, August 31st.
