Central Perk “Friends” coffeehouse is coming to Boston

Fans of the hit television show “Friends” will soon be able to hang out inside a real-life Central Perk coffeehouse in Boston.

People magazine reported that Central Perk Coffee Company is opening a location in Boston later this year.

The permanent location will be inspired by the cafe beneath the apartments that Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc called home on the sitcom from 1994 to 2004.

Central Perk will be located on Newbury Street, according to the report.

“The Boston iteration seeks to take inspiration from the original set all while operating a modern, fully-functional coffeehouse that is here to stay,” People wrote.

Central Perk currently sells six blends of coffee: The “How You Doin’?” house blend, a medium roast called “Pivot Blend,” a dark roast known as “We Were on a ‘Coffee’ Break,” “Moo Point” decaf, “Oh. My. GAWD!” cold brew blend, and “Gunther! Expresso.”

There was no immediate word on an exact launch date for the Boston cafe.
