ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, is reporting that Haverhill native Noah Vonleh has made the Boston Celtics opening night roster after a strong preseason.
Vonleh was originally taken by the Portland Trailblazers as the 9th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Vonleh has struggled to find his footing in the NBA, but has been impressive throughout the preseason.
Vonleh spent the 2021-2022 NBA season with the Shangai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association, and is hoping things go better for him playing for the Celtics.
Vonleh had a strong training camp and preseason, averaging 7.3 points and 7.3 rebound per game.
