It is very rare to see an orcas around here. They are most frequently sighted off the west coast, but a local fishermen recently spotted one off the coast of Cape Cod. On Sunday afternoon Captain Jerry Leeman, captured this video after he walked to the back of his boat and saw the fin of the killer whale.
“You don’t see this every day folks, at least not in New England,” he said.
“He came alongside the boat and was kind of just checking us out,” Leeman said. “It got alongside the boat about 15 feet and was kind of just easing along with us as we were towing. Then he just kind of went off on his own.”
