Jonathan Searle and his real-life older brother played the roles of two boys who caused mass chaos at the beach when they swam out into the ocean with a cardboard fin as prank, according to the New York Post.

“He made me do it!” Searle said in the film, pointing frantically at his older brother as a swarm of armed officials peered down on the brothers from boats.”

“I’m finding the whole thing quite funny myself!” the 56-year-old told The New York Post.

In his interview for the position with town leaders, he said he has been “committed to community policing my entire career.” Chief Searle is also the son of a police chief; his father George Searle served as chief in Edgartown from 1981-1995, and had been in the department since 1966.
