Leo Keka, the owner of two popular southeastern Massachusetts restaurants announced that he will be giving his employees $30,000 bonuses from the holiday gift card sales for his Alba restaurant, and his steak and seafood house in Quincy Center.
Keka said the money is his way of thanking employees “for successfully battling through a year that otherwise devastated the restaurant industry.”
Restaurants and their employees have been among the hardest hit.
Alba restaurant thanked customers for their support.
“It has obviously been a very difficult year for everyone in the restaurant industry. But thanks to you, and of course to our best-in-the-business staff both in the front of the house and in the kitchen, we were able to serve you within state safety guidelines throughout 2020,”
